Portuguese drop out

Portuguese side Ramaldense have recently dropped out of the Euro Trophy tournament in Milan. The organising committee are looking at a revised schedule of matches. The effect on Whitchurch matches is not clear as Ramaldense were in the other pool.

Wales drop down the rankings

With Cardiff only finishing sixth in the recent Euro Hockey Trophy, in Paris, Wales (and the Czech Republic) have dropped down the European rankings for the 2008-09 season tournaments. Whitchurch will now need to win the Challenge tournament in Milan to have any chance of competing in the elite EHL or indeed the Trophy next season.

Check out the download section for more details on the European rankings.
