First competitive action after the festive period saw the 1st Team take on Swansea University in Round 1 of the Welsh Cup.  An understrength Unversity side were always going to struggle against a virtually full strength Whitchurch outfit.

The University who currently play against Whitchurch B in the N4 League conceded early on and could not get any rhythym to their game, with next to no meaningful possession.  A further volley of quick goals resulted early in the first half, with some good build up play from the home side.

There were however two prolonged periods on both halves where the home side could not convert their possession and chances.  Whitchurch did stick to the task and completed a professional performance with another raftof second half goals, in appauling weather conditions.
