Whitchurch 2-1 Indian Gymkhana 

Whitchurch started brightly with a number of probing moves, but the IG defence were up to the task.  Whitchurch forced a number of chances but could not fashion a breakthrough, due to a lack of clinical finishing.  IG then proceeded to score on the break, just before half time and very much against the run of play.  Whitchurch responded immediately from the restart, with Doug Young getting in on the act, after a good build up down the left flank.

Whitchurch continued to dominated proceedings in the second half, but were still unable to convert their precious possessions and chances.  IG continued to look threatening on the break - asking some question of Goalkeeper Iwan Williams on occassions.

With 10 minutes remaining Whitchurch looked to put the tie beyond the visitors - Laith El Khatib scoring their second.  IG worked hard to grab a share of the spoils, but Whitchurch stood firm and took all three points.

Rhys Gowman made an excellent debut, playing with assured confidence.
